Curriculum - Years 9 & 10

   

All students in Years 9 and 10 continue their studies in the main key learning areas as follows:


  • Christian Studies

  • English

  • Health and Physical Education

  • Humanities

  • Mathematics

  • Science


Students then choose three electives from the key learning areas of Languages Other Than English, The Arts and Technology:

  • Art

  • Business Studies

  • Design and Manufacturing

  • Drama

  • Food and Textiles

  • German

  • Graphics

  • Information Technology

  • Japanese

  • Music

Note: A four week outdoor education experience is a compulsory part of the Year 10 curriculum. See section.


   

Curriculum - Years 11 & 12

   

All students are expected to study English, at least one Mathematics subject, as well as participate in the Christian Studies and SCISSA Sport programs.

In addition to English, students choose five subjects from the following options:

  • Biological Science

  • Business Communications and Technology

  • Chemistry

  • Drama

  • English

  • English Communication *

  • Film, TV and New Media

  • Geography

  • German

  • Graphics

  • Home Economics

  • Hospitality Practices *

  • Industrial Technology Skills*

  • Information Technology Studies

  • Japanese

  • Legal Studies

  • Marine Science

  • Mathematics A

  • Mathematics B

  • Mathematics C

  • Modern History

  • Science 21

  • Music

  • Music Extension (Year 12 Subject)

  • Physical Education

  • Physics

  • Pre Vocational Mathematics *

  • Technology Studies

  • Visual Art

  • Certificate 3 in Fitness*
