About Junior Years

Each Junior Years student at Good Shepherd is important. We aim to maximise every student’s academic achievements and to extend their experience and imaginative understanding.

Good Shepherd strives to enable learners to become active participants within the world community, to achieve a high degree of independence and adaptability, and to become effective, contented and successful members of society.

"Junior Years provide a child-centred learning environment that recognises the developmental needs of students in the first six years of formal education."

Positive and secure relationships are vital in providing strong learning foundations for now and the future. Junior Year students at Good Shepherd are given the opportunity to join in many activities with students from the Middle and Senior Years, and to share their excellent resources.

The Junior Years have talented and devoted teachers who work together and in partnership with parents and families to help achieve the best education for all our students. Junior Year students at Good Shepherd also have the benefit of being taught by specialist teachers in subject areas such as Physical Education, Japanese, Music and Digital Technology.
